Policies

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue lessons for anyone who does not follow these rules and policies.

  • A minimum of 24 hours is required to reschedule or cancel your lesson.

    If you reschedule or cancel your lesson with less than 24 hours notice, you will be subjected to a $25 last minute fee.

    Any last minute cancellations or no shows will be subject to the full class fee.

  • Participants are expected to arrive on time and ready to play. Late arrivals may result in reduced lesson time without refund.

  • Payments can be made via EMT to wesleytsangtennis@gmail.com or paid in cash on the day of your scheduled lesson.

    EMT payments must be sent by EOD of your scheduled lesson. Please also note in the EMT;

    1. Name or Names (for semi-private/group lessons)

    2. Date of lesson

    3. Time of lesson

    Failure to comply with the payment policy will result in cancellation of all future sessions and you will be barred from scheduling new sessions until payment is settled.

  • In the event of an inclement weather day or rain day and your session must be cancelled, you will be notified via text message as early as possible, on the day of your scheduled lesson.

    If you do not receive any cancellation notice via text message, assume the lesson will proceed as scheduled.

  • Guests and spectators are not permitted inside the fences surrounding the 3 tennis courts located at the Highgate Tennis Club, unless permitted by Coach Wesley or other coaches.

  • Players must wear proper athletic clothing and non-marking tennis shoes.

    Bring sufficient water and proper sun protection, as the club does not provide a water refill station.

    Tennis racquets will be provided if necessary. Any damage to any racquets, balls, and hoppers due to misuse will result in additional charges to your session.

Waiver + Release

By booking lessons at Wesley Tsang Tennis, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

    1. Assumption of Risk: I understand that participation in tennis lessons involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, falls, collisions, equipment-related injuries, and environmental conditions. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, whether known or unknown.

    2. Medical Fitness: I confirm that I (or my child) am physically fit to participate in tennis activities. I agree to inform the instructor of any medical conditions, injuries, or limitations prior to participation.

    3. Emergency Medical Treatment: In the event of an emergency, I authorize the instructor to obtain medical treatment on my behalf (or my child’s behalf) if I cannot be reached. I understand that I am responsible for any costs associated with such treatment.

    4. Equipment and Safety: I agree to use appropriate equipment and follow all safety instructions provided by the instructor. Failure to do so may result in removal from lessons without refund.

    5. Release of Liability: I hereby release, waive, and discharge the instructor, coaches, assistants, and any affiliated parties from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during or as a result of participation in tennis lessons.

    6. Photo/Video and Media Release: I consent to the use of photos/videos taken during lessons for educational and promotional purposes.

    7. Conduct: I agree to follow and comply to all coach instructions, safety guidelines and club rules. Failure to comply will result in suspension or refusal of service without refund.

    8. PARENT/GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITY (FOR MINORS): I agree that the coaches and instructors are not responsible for the supervision of my child outside of scheduled lesson time.

    9. Governing Law: This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and applicable Canadian laws.
